More than 370 nominations have already been received since the launch of the STAR Awards!
Now in their fourth year, the STAR Awards celebrate the individuals, teams and services within NHS Tayside that deliver outstanding patient care or go the extra mile in their job.
There is still time to nominate your shining STAR, we are especially looking for submissions for the following categories:
- Global Citizenship
This award is for any individual, group or team who in addition to their health or social care day job also volunteer in global health and social care work.
This award aims to recognise their dedication and commitment to contributing to global health and social care work in low and middle income countries in addition to delivering their day job in Scotland.
Tell us about the person, group or team working in health and social care that deserves this recognition, the support that they provided and how it has contributed to improving lives both in the country they were working with and also the skills and learning that they brought back to the service in Scotland. Click here to hear from last year’s winner, Jean Ngoie.
- Innovation and Improvement
This award is for an individual, a group or a team developing innovative ways to improve health and social care in Scotland.
Innovation has many forms and this award recognises clinical and non-clinical innovation. It includes research, use of new or emerging technologies, new ways of working, or faster, smarter access to services and treatments.
It aims to recognise forward-thinking, innovative individuals, or teams, who have taken a creative approach to improve quality, delivery, safety or productivity within health and social care.
Nominations close on Friday, 28 February 2020 at 5pm, so don’t leave it too long before you get your nomination in.
