NHS Tayside’s Healthy Working Lives Workplace team will be hosting a health and wellbeing business event later this month.

Health and Wellbeing Business Event to be held in Dundee

The event, organised by NHS Tayside’s Healthy Working Lives Workplace team, will take place at The Circle in Dundee on Friday, 31 January between 10am and 3pm. It is aimed at people working in charities, social enterprises and small businesses across Tayside. Organisers will highlight the range of free workplace support available from NHS Tayside, Healthy Working Lives and other local agencies to both employers and employees in local small to medium sized enterprises.

A variety of information and support will be available on the day with the aim of supporting individual workers and self-employed people in adopting healthier lifestyles. There will also be help on hand to answer any health, safety or wellbeing concerns and signposting to free services that can provide further information or assistance.

Information stalls, lifestyle health checks, mini physiotherapy sessions, energy advice and financial advice are on offer on the day.

Sylvia Mudie, Health Improvement Adviser with NHS Tayside, said, “Events such as these are helpful in bringing a range of information and support directly to workers close to their workplace to highlight the importance of health, safety and wellbeing at work.”

Healthy Working Lives provides free tailored support, advice and training.  The NHS Tayside Workplace Team engages with local workplaces to achieve improved health, safety and wellbeing. This helps increase productivity, reduce sickness absence and employee turnover and promote a safer, healthier workplace.

The event was supported by The Circle, Dundee City Council, Discovery Credit Union, PAM OH Solutions, Sense Scotland, Working Health Services, Scottish Association for Sleep Apnoea, Home Energy Scotland and the Oral Health Improvement Team.
