An event took place at Ninewells Hospital today to help people quit smoking by using physical activity to help cravings. Further events are planned for Arbroath Infirmary and Perth Royal Infirmary next week.
With the beginning of a New Year, it is the ideal time to make a positive change. The ‘Fight Cravings with Physical Activity’ events aim to raise awareness with staff, patients and visitors of how quitting smoking and taking up physical activity can have many positive benefits, as well as how these changes can be included within your already busy day.
The information stands give inspiration, guidance and signposting to assist smokers on their journey for change.
The next two events will take place at:
Arbroath Infirmary – Wednesday 15 January 10am-2pm
Perth Royal Infirmary – Wednesday 15 January 10am-2pm
Instructor-led health walks lasting no longer than 30 minutes will be leaving from the stands at noon.
