Children, parents and staff at the Tayside Children’s Hospital were treated to a magical performance of Aladdin by the Starlight Storytellers.

The cast brought with them bright colourful scenery and outfits to transform the ward and set the scene for the children.

The Starlight Children’s Foundation is a charity that provides entertainment and distraction to children in hospital giving them the chance to laugh and cheer while on a hospital ward.

Play specialist Una Paton said, “Entertainment and play can improve a child’s hospital experience by providing a welcome distraction from their illness and treatment.

“It was really lovely to see the children from ward 29 and the paediatric outpatient clinic enjoying the show. Starlight is a fantastic charity and each year we look forward to the arrival of their performances that bring fun and laughter to our young patients.”

The charity also grants once-in-a-lifetime wishes to children with serious and terminal illnesses. For more information on Starlight Children’s Foundation visit www.starlight.org.uk
