NHS Tayside and Dundee City Council are pleased to announce the appointment of Vicky Irons as Chief Officer for the Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership.
Vicky Irons, who is the current Chief Officer for the Angus Health and Social Care Partnership, replaces David Lynch who is retiring in December.
Trudy McLeay Chair of the Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership Integration Joint Board said: “Vicky comes to us with extensive NHS and local authority experience and this will be invaluable as we look to meet the challenges around the Health and Social Care Partnership.
“The Partnership is working to achieve positive transformational change to improve the health and wellbeing of people across the city and I’m delighted to welcome Vicky on board to help us achieve this.”
“I would like to thank David Lynch for all the work he has put into the partnership. David was the first Chief Officer of the partnership and has worked tirelessly to help Dundee deliver its shared health and social care vision.”
Vicky has previously worked throughout Scotland in a range of senior management roles across Health and Social Care. She is also currently the national Chair of HSC Scotland Chief Officers Group.
On her appointment, Vicky Irons said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to the post of Chief Officer for the Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership.
“Throughout my career I have developed a special interest in primary and community health and social care.
“I am clear that the challenge of responding to present and future health and social care needs will be significant for the Partnership. I look forward to working with the team and all Partners to make sure that we achieve the best results for the people of Dundee”
