Kind hearted Jem donates toys

Kind hearted Jem Thomson, who works as a domestic assistant at Ninewells Hospital, decided to spread a little Christmas cheer by donating a selection of lovely gifts to Ward 30.

Jem, was working outside Ward 30 when she spoke with senior charge nurse Suzie Byer explaining that she saw the children as they were arriving for their operations and she wanted to do something to cheer them up.

Suzie said, “During our chat Jem told me that she wanted to buy some toys and donate them and wondered how she would hand them over. It was really good of her to think of the children and we were delighted to accept her gifts for the children.

“Jem might have thought that she was helping to put a smile on the children’s faces but she also put a smile on the face of the staff in the ward as we were all really touched by Jem’s kindness and generosity.”
