Patient thanks renal service at PRI with £5k donation
A Crieff man has donated £5,000 to the renal service at Perth Royal Infirmary to thank staff for looking after him for the past eight years.
Peter Fleming said, “I have been on dialysis for eight years and I‘ve had a great experience, especially when the staff give me toffees!
“I am thankful for the care I get and I wanted to donate something to the unit to help others on dialysis. All the staff are so kind to me and I would like to thank them for their great care and kindness.”
Accepting the donation, senior charge nurse Shona Borrett said, “I would like to thank Peter for his extremely generous donation to the service. This will be put into our patient comfort fund and towards a Christmas meal for our patients at a local hotel.”
Lego donation for Tayside Children’s Hosptial
The Tayside Children’s Hospital had a surprise visit from Huddersfield charity Fairy Bricks, which donated lots of Lego to the hospital.
Accepting the donation play specialist Una Paton said, “On behalf of everyone, I’d like to say thank you to Fairy Bricks for this amazing donation. They have donated Lego to us before and it brings lots happiness to sick children who really benefit from it.”
