An exhibition of artworks produced by the Gowanlea art groups is on display now until 15 November at Arbroath library.
The exhibition will showcase work produced by the art groups, which are run by Gowanlea Community Mental Health Team Occupational Therapy Department
There will be art works available for sale and a Game of Thrones-inspired Throne of Swords, made out of paper mache will be raffled off.
Senior occupational therapist Hilary Hart said, “Art, as a therapeutic activity, is an immensely beneficial treatment medium. People enjoy participating, being creative and involvement in the group is very helpful for an individuals’ self esteem and self confidence.
“Everyone is very excited to have their works exhibited. We would be delighted if people were able to attend, and hope that people will enjoy the exhibition and perhaps even buy some artwork. The money raised from the sale will be brought back into our occupational therapy groups.”
