The Tayside Palliative and End of Life Care Managed Care Network (TayPEOLC MCN) is hosting a community remembrance event in Perth as part of the Scotland-wide ‘To Absent Friends’ festival.
The community event aims to connect people in Perthshire through shared experiences and stories. There will be an exhibition celebrating traditions, photographs, music and poetry of remembrance.
TayPEOLC is working in partnership with Perth & Kinross HSCP and independent and voluntary sector groups as part of the Traucanta Project – a new initiative run by the Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care, and funded by Macmillan Cancer Support.
‘To Absent Friends’ Perthshire is being held as part of this project, which aims support local communities across Scotland who are interested in taking community action to improve people’s experiences of death, dying, loss and care.
The event takes place on 15 November from 4-6pm in Perth Civic Hall.
