04-11-19 New art exhibition at Whitehills gallery

Patients, staff and visitors at Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre in Forfar can enjoy a new exhibition of artwork created by a former NHS worker.

Running until the end of December, the exhibition features art by Samantha Campbell, who trained as a student nurse at Whitehills before becoming a nursing assistant, staff nurse then midwife.

Speaking about her work Samantha said, “I left the NHS in 2016 after having my children. Painting began as a way to relax when the children were asleep and has since evolved into a passion.

“It is particularly special to me to have my work displayed here in Whitehills because it was here that I trained as a student nurse.

“All of my work is original pieces created with high quality watercolour paints. I create commissioned pieces on request, along with pet portraits.”

The gallery is situated in the main corridor of the building and is open to the public daily from 9am until 7pm. All works are for sale with 20% commission on sales being donated to Whitehills.

Samantha’s work can be found on her Instagram page and on Facebook @PapermintArt and she can be contacted on
