Head of Clinical Pharmacy Development Gordon Thomson, retired after more than 38 years service.
Gordon had a variety of roles including clinical and managerial positions within pharmacy.
Gordon is leaving a legacy in enhancing clinical pharmacy services and promoting patient safety.
Mina Flynn has retired from her role as a volunteer with Ninewells Gift Shop.
Mina has been volunteering for 14 years, initially in Keyhole Kate’s shop at Ninewells which then became the Tayside Health Fund Gift Shop.
Mina worked as a staff nurse in NHS Tayside for many years prior to becoming a volunteer. She began her career in Dundee Royal Infirmary before moving to Maryfield to work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Mina worked nightshift at Ninewells on the first night the hospital was open. She was based in the artificial ventilation unit until the ICU moved over from Maryfield, then spent 20 years working in surgical HDU and day surgery until her retiral in 2005.
Chief Executive Grant Archibald visited Mina during her final shift in the Gift Shop to thank her for her many years of service both as a staff member and as a volunteer.
