Cancer in the workplace: supporting managers and employees

Maggie’s Dundee is offering a workshop to help managers support colleagues and carers affected by cancer.

Over 500,000 people who have cancer are working across the UK. This figure is expected to double by 2030 as more people survive a diagnosis of cancer.

When returning to work, employees, their managers and colleagues face different and complex challenges that can have a significant impact in the workplace.

The workshop will take place at Maggie’s Dundee at Ninewells on Wednesday, 25 September from 8.15am to 10.30am.

The training will be delivered by Maggie’s Centre head and consultant clinical psychologist Lesley Howells and supported by NHS Tayside human resources business lead Jackie Bayne.
