The Infection Prevention and Control Team (IPCT) is highlighting its September standard infection control precaution – Respiratory and Cough Hygiene.
Members of the team will have a table at the Level 5 dining room at Ninewells on Wednesday 11 September and on the main concourse on Tuesday 24 September from 10am to 2pm.
There will also be winter planning sessions held throughout the month to allow team members to refresh their knowledge around influenza and other respiratory viruses, and norovirus. The sessions will cover the role the ward staff play in outbreak situations to minimise the spread of infection. Dates and locations will be shared in future issues of LowDown.
This also links in with the Scottish Infection Prevention and Control Education Pathway (SIPCEP) modules.
