Prostate Cancer UK is hosting events at Ninewells Hospital on Thursday, 8 August to raise awareness of the most common cancer in men in the UK. In the UK, about one in eight men will get prostate cancer at some point in their lives and it mainly affect men over 50 years old and the risk increases with age.
The cancer charity will have an information stand on the main concourse from 11am to 3pm. Members of the NHS Tayside medical physics team will join the volunteers from Prostate Cancer UK and will explain the science behind the diagnosis of prostate cancer.
