A new learnPro module has been released to replacing the existing interpretation and translation module from May 2015.
This eLearning module has been designed for clinical and non-clinical staff in areas of NHS Tayside and the three local health and social care partnerships who have contact with non-English or limited English speakers, including profoundly deaf patients.
The content has changed significantly from the previous module to reflect current perspectives. The new module is located within Core for All and has been automatically added to the learning plan of all staff members.
It is a mandatory requirement, without exception, for ALL staff to complete this module every TWO years.
The module includes:
- Understanding the difference between interpretation and translation
- Understanding your legal responsibility in relation to providing interpretation and translation service
