Every NHS Board must operate within the Governance Framework (Clinical Governance, Financial Governance and Staff Governance).
Staff Governance is the strand that looks at how staff are managed and how they feel they are being managed. The five strands of the Staff Governance Standard and the responsibilities of all staff can be viewed here.
Information contained in this section also highlights how Staff Governance is monitored. One of the standards refers specifically to being treated fairly and consistently with dignity and respect in an environment where diversity is valued. This section provides information on Dignity at Work.
The iMatter section refers to employee engagement and where we can contribute to the understanding and improvement of staff experience through regular questionnaires and action planning.
Partnership Working is about harnessing the potential of staff at all levels so they can achieve the standards set within Staff Governance. NHS Tayside encourages an environment of partnership between management and staff representatives, operating within a partnership model which also supports day-to-day co-operation at an operational level.
