Patients and staff from Amulree Ward at Murray Royal Hospital recently enjoyed a day out in Edinburgh.
The group from the mental health rehabilitation ward visited Edinburgh Castle where they enjoyed some sightseeing, lunch and shopping.
Patients were encouraged to organise an activity which they would all enjoy and this patient-centred outing was led by those who went on the trip.
Charge nurse Chantelle Dorward said, “Staff and patients both benefited from this therapeutic break which was organised to encourage social inclusion and aid recovery. We all had a great day out and hope to go on more of these types of outings in the future.”
