Significant hospital infection incident exercise

An exercise is being held to raise awareness of the multi-disciplinary response to a significant infectious disease event.

At any time, our service could be disrupted by the need to respond to a previously unknown and dangerous infection. To prepare for this, a Significant Hospital Infection Incident Tabletop Exercise is being held on Thursday 11 April 2019 from 1-4pm in the Improvement Academy at Ninewells.

The event will address:

  • Staff protection and preparedness
  • Infection Control Manual Appendix 11
  • Isolation facilities
  • Contact tracing
  • Identification of significant frontline staff
  • Call out of staff
  • Cleaning and waste management-escalation
