NHS Scotland Counter Fraud Services joined colleagues from England and Wales to contribute to a BBC documentary series highlighting the risks of fraud and corruption within the NHS.
The new five-part series is entitled ‘Fraud Squad NHS’ and will be aired at 9.15am each morning from Monday 4 February to Friday 8 February.
As well as raising awareness of NHS fraud and the huge efforts to tackle it, the series aims to encourage more people to report fraud and corruption.
The five episodes contain a selection of recent prosecutions of NHS fraud. These are cases lead by national and local Counter Fraud Specialists throughout the UK, including the Counter Fraud Authority (CFA), Forensic Computing Unit and law enforcement partners such as the police.
