NHS Tayside joined forces with the University of Dundee’s Dental and Medical Schools to mark World Restart a Heart Day on 16 October.
World Restart a Heart Day is a yearly day of action which aims to teach crucial life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills to as many people as possible.
NHS Tayside senior resuscitation officer Michael Clark joined University of Dundee resuscitation officer John Ramsay and students from the Dental and Medical Schools to offer people the chance to learn CPR skills.
The group held the session at Dundee Science Centre and were delighted by the response. By the end of the day over 100 members of the public from children through to their grandparents were taught lifesaving CPR skills.
This was replicated across Scotland as Dental Schools in Edinburgh and Glasgow also hosted similar events.
