NHS Tayside’s Antimicrobial Management Team (AMT) is repeating its popular rock painting project to help promote this year’s European Antibiotic Awareness Day and World Antibiotic Awareness Week.
The project involves hiding specially painted themed rocks in and around the town for others to find. The project aims to promote a fun and healthy activity which the whole family can enjoy.
If you would like to join in the fun by creating your own antibiotic resistance bug themed painted rocks (or you know someone who would) please contact Sarah Thomson on firstname.lastname@example.org or x33281 for more details.
There are various online guides on rock painting – it’s important that this activity is safe and environmentally friendly. See below for some ideas.
Even if you don’t manage to paint any rocks you can still take part by looking out for them throughout Tayside during the week starting 12 November. If you are lucky enough to find one please post a photo of it and you can either keep or rehide it.
You don’t have to rehide the rock in Tayside – last year one of the rocks made it all the way to Paris!
