Senior health improvement practitioner Mary Colvin cycled 240 miles from London to Paris to raise money for cancer charities.
Mary signed up for the women-only Woman v Cancer cycling challenge to help support the thousands of people affected by breast, ovarian and cervical cancers.
Mary said, “After lots of training runs, some spin classes and regularly cycling to work, it was suddenly time to leave for London and meet up with the other 140 women who were all cycling to raise money for cancer.
“It was an amazing experience. I started out with nerves from Hampton Court on Thursday, 4 October, and came to an exhilarating finish at the Eiffel Tower on Saturday evening. There was a huge amount of fun and friendship along the way as cyclists of all abilities took up this special challenge.
“I am very proud to have raised £1822 so far for research and to help support the thousands of people affected by breast, ovarian and cervical cancers. The total funds have not been calculated yet, as money is still coming in but I just want to give a great big thank you to all who sponsored me.”
