Two members of staff from Perth Royal Infirmary celebrated their graduation after completing masters degrees at the University of Dundee.
Advanced nurse practitioner for older people Ailsa Gardner graduated with an MSc with merit in Nursing Older People’s Pathway. Ailsa undertook a comprehensive literature review for her dissertation on discharge support mechanisms for older people leaving hospital.
Her colleague Iona Lancaster, quality and effectiveness lead, graduated with an MSc with distinction in Quality Improvement. Iona’s dissertation saw her undertake a piece of qualitative research into the barriers and enablers to the implementation of the Scottish Stroke Care Bundle.
