This half day training session supports frontline staff to use the toolkit as a practical aid to identify how health inequalities and deprivation may affect their client groups and in what ways, explore to what extent they are adopting preventative approaches already or social prescribing and to recognise how they may be able to build on these to support clients further. The training session aims to support participants to:
- Recognise vulnerable and at-risk individuals
- Have a positive, exploratory conversation to identify the factors affecting them
- Signpost people to supportive services and activities that could help
The new training dates for the open sessions are:
Tuesday, 11 September, 9.30am – 12.30pm
Monday, 8 October, 1.15 – 4.15pm
Thursday, 18 October, 9.30am – 12.30pm
Monday, 5 November, 9.30am – 12.30pm
Friday, 30 November, 9.30am – 12.30pm
Tuesday, 11 December, 1.15 – 4.15pm
All sessions will be held in Room 17, Mitchell Street Centre, Mitchell Street, Dundee, DD2 2LJ.
These dates are open to all service providers including the third sector.
Additionally, training can be delivered directly to a team.
